Background
Born in the early 1930s, he was a German scientist fascinated by genetic manipulation. Serving in the French Foreign Legion in Vietnam in the 1950s, he befriended four future criminals, Lee Hong, Pablo Belisario Ochoa, Frantz Fuchs and Arkadij Jegorov, whose DNA joined his own in 47. Dismissed as insane by the scientific community, he ran a mental institution in Romania as cover for cloning experiments meant to produce flawless, obedient soldiers, and Providence funded the project to obtain assassins. At the end of Codename 47 he sets his loyal clones on 47, who kills them all; in the opening of Asylum Aftermath 47 shoots him and snaps his neck.
