Natural history
The mountain once supported old-growth woodland of California juniper, Single-leaf Pinyon, Joshua tree, and Coastal sage scrub oak. Multiple wildfires, including the Juniper Complex Fire of 1999, have left the area barren of taller woody plants. A few surviving Pinyon pines and California junipers remain as seed sources. Desert Bighorn Sheep inhabit the Little San Bernardino Mountains.
