Gringotts Wizarding Bank
The goblin-run bank of Diagon Alley.
Gringotts Wizarding Bank was the only wizarding bank in Great Britain, owned and run by goblins. A goblin named Gringott founded it in 1474, and its main offices stood on the North Side of Diagon Alley in London. Besides keeping money and valuables for witches and wizards, it exchanged Muggle money for wizarding money, minted at least part of Britain's wizarding coins, issued cheques and bank notes and lent money to wizarding businesses. Rubeus Hagrid called it the safest place in the wizarding world apart from Hogwarts.
