The Anti-Spirals are an alien race that emerges once the human population reaches one million, using Nia as their messenger because they created her. Lordgenome, resurrected as a bio-computer, reveals that he was once part of an intergalactic army of warriors who failed to stop the Anti-Spirals, and that he forced mankind underground to protect them.
