The Casino Royale paymaster whose name means The Cypher.
Le Chiffre, "The Cypher" or "The Digit", is the main antagonist of Ian Fleming's 1953 novel Casino Royale. On screen he has been played by Peter Lorre in the 1954 television version, Orson Welles in the 1967 spoof and Mads Mikkelsen in the 2006 film, where he shares the villain role with Mr. White.
