Differences from the original
Theron's Quest has a different story and is considered a light version of Dungeon Master, lacking all of the items, spells, and monsters from the original. It contains seven small dungeons instead of one large dungeon, though these are partially identical or inspired by the original dungeons of Dungeon Master and Chaos Strikes Back. The player takes the role of Theron and three other champions. After completing each dungeon, the party loses its collected items and the three champions lose their skills and statistics. The game can only be saved between dungeons, and many resurrection 'Altars of VI' replace the original save option during a level. Fewer monsters make the game easier than the original.
