Jianianhualong, meaning "Jianianhua dragon," is a genus of troodontid theropod dinosaur from the Early Cretaceous of China. The only species, Jianianhualong tengi, was named in 2017 by Xu Xing and colleagues based on an articulated skeleton that preserved feathers. The feathers in the middle of its tail are asymmetric, marking the first time such feathers have been found in a troodontid. Although these feathers differ aerodynamically from the flight feathers of modern birds, the tail vane feathers may have helped reduce drag when the animal moved. The discovery suggests that asymmetrical feathers appeared early in the evolution of the Paraves.

It was excavated using hammers and chisels from Early Cretaceous rocks of the Yixian Formation at Baicai Gou in Yixian County, Liaoning. This site lies within the Dakangpu Bed (equivalent to several other beds), which is in the middle of the formation. The specific layer was dated in 2006 and 2008 to about 124.4 million years ago, during the early Aptian.
In 2017, a team including Xu Xing, Philip J. Currie, Michael Pittman, Xing Lida, Meng Qingjin, Lü Junchang, Hu Dongyu, and Yu Congyu named and described Jianianhualong in a paper in Nature Communications. To study the preserved plumage, they used laser-stimulated fluorescence with a 405 nm laser. The genus name honors the Jianianhua company, which sponsored the research, combined with the Chinese word for "dragon." The species name, tengi, honors Ms. Teng Fangfan
