Gholas

A ghola is a type of clone produced by the Bene Tleilax, who trade in genetically engineered products. In Dune Messiah, the Tleilaxu dwarf Bijaz controls the ghola Hayt through an implanted humming tone. The Tleilaxu later use their axlotl tanks to make gholas of themselves and regain their memories, and the Bene Gesserit use Duncan Idaho gholas in Heretics of Dune and Chapterhouse: Dune.
