Background
In "The Ultimate Enemy" the Observants order him to destroy Danny to stop his evil future self, Dark Danny, from ever existing. Clockwork has other plans: after Danny traps Dark Danny in the Fenton Thermos, Clockwork freezes time, saves Danny's family and friends from the Nasty Burger explosion and gives Danny a second chance, keeping the Thermos in his lair. In "Masters of All Time" Danny asks him for help when Vlad infects Sam and Tucker with ecto-acne, and Clockwork lets him try to change the past to teach him a lesson.
