Background
Vlad studied at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with his roommate Jack Fenton and with Maddie, whom both men liked. A prototype ghost portal the three built overloaded when Jack poured diet cola into it instead of ecto-purifier, and it blasted Vlad in the face with ectoplasm. He spent years in hospital and came out half-ghost, and the accident ended his friendship with Jack. He was voiced by Martin Mull.
