Lore & Background
The game follows Conker, a greedy, hard-drinking red squirrel who must return home to his girlfriend, Berri, after an evening of heavily drinking at the local pub. During his quest, Conker finds wads of cash and becomes sidetracked. The Panther King, ruler of the land, orders his servant Professor Von Kriplespac to capture a red squirrel to use as a table leg. Conker eventually finds Berri, but she is shot by Don Weaso on the Panther King's orders and dies in Conker's arms. The Panther King suddenly begins having chest pains; a Xenomorph-like creature named Heinrich bursts out of his chest, killing him. Von Kriplespac reveals Heinrich is his creation and that he planned to kill the Panther King. Conker opens an airlock, expelling Kriplespac and the corpses into space, then battles Heinrich.
In Their Own Story
The dusty corridors of an unfinished level flicker with unused textures. A half-rendered enemy model freezes in mid-air, never to spawn. The code waits silently for a player who will never arrive, holding the ghost of a joke that was never told, trapped forever in the digital limbo between conception and release.
Reader's Guide
The game is a platform game with later sections featuring shooter elements. The player controls Conker through three-dimensional levels. Gameplay involves completing a linear sequence of challenges, including defeating bosses, solving puzzles, gathering objects, and racing opponents. Conker can run, jump, smack enemies with a frying pan, swim underwater, climb ladders or ropes, and push objects. Context-sensitive pads grant temporary abilities. A multiplayer mode allows up to four players to compete in seven game types: Beach, Raptor, Heist, War, Tank, Race, and Deathmatch.
