Background
Akio and Sanae Furukawa opened it after giving up their careers to be with their daughter Nagisa; it became a bakery because Sanae was sure she could bake. Her inventive breads are famously inedible and rarely sell, and no one is allowed to criticise them, so the neighbours mostly buy Akio's bread. Sanae also runs the Furukawa Cram School there for local children. Tomoya Okazaki moves in during 'A New Life' because of his troubles with his father and works at the bakery after graduating, until in 'Season of Beginnings' he moves out to work as an electrician.
