Adam Nagaitis is the British actor who plays the firefighter Vasily Ignatenko in the miniseries Chernobyl. Born on 7 June 1985, he is best known for that role and for playing Cornelius Hickey in the series The Terror. He trained at the Stella Adler Conservatory and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.

Nagaitis was born in Chorley in Lancashire. He began acting at the age of 14, with a minor part in the television series Children's Ward in 2000. At 19 he left for New York to study at the Stella Adler Conservatory, graduating in 2007, and he then studied in London, where he graduated in 2012.

His early screen roles included parts in the films '71 and Suffragette and in the series Banished. In 2018 he appeared in the film The Commuter and starred in The Terror.
