Background
He spends most of his time reading and keeps a calm demeanor, which Ruby Moon teases him about. He mostly stays out of sight of the main characters, except for an anime-only encounter in which Cerberus, not suspecting anything, declares him a monster and feeds him sweets, which turn him into a hyperactive eating machine. Cerberus learns his true identity only just before the final battle, when the two face each other; Spinel Sun seems to have the upper hand until Cerberus' greater determination to protect Sakura wins out. In Clear Card he and Ruby Moon return to Japan on Eriol's instructions to share their magic with Yue and Yukito. He is voiced by Katsuyuki Konishi (true form) and Yumi Toma (false form) in Japanese; in Cardcaptors he is renamed Spinner Sun and voiced by Colin Murdock, and Apphia Yu voices his false form in the Clear Card arc.
