Characters
Chip is a five- or six-year-old pug girl who is friendly, curious, and kind-hearted. She is best friends with both a panda named Nico and a tiny mouse named Potato. Potato, voiced by Andrea Libman, is Chip’s best friend and a secret to everyone else. When anyone besides Chip is around, Potato pretends to be a toy. Potato gives Chip a sense of security and confidence. In the Thanksgiving special, Potato chose to reveal herself, though no one realized she had been Chip’s toy all along. Chip’s older brother is Spud, voiced by Chance Hurstfield. Spud has a healthy relationship with his sister and often gives her advice when she is struggling. He enjoys skateboarding. Chip’s mother is Little Momma, voiced by Briana Buckmaster. She used to work as a receptionist but now stays at home after having her third child, Totsy Tot. Chip’s father is Little Poppa, voiced by Brian Dobson. He works as a police officer and handles most of the housework, like cooking, when he is off duty. Nico, voiced by Dominic Good, is a panda and one of Chip’s best friends. Unlike most characters, he does not wear shoes. Totsy Tot is Chip’s baby sister. Although they did not get along at first, Chip loves her little sister and gave her the nickname Totsy Tot. Tot is one of the few characters who gets to see Potato as her real self. Grandma Pug, voiced by Christina Jastrzembska, is Chip’s grandmother. She does not live with Chip’s family but visits often and enjoys spending time with them. In the second season, she and her husband moved into Welcome Walk to start a new business. Stomp and Stamp, voiced by Evan Byarushengo and Scotia Andersen, are twin elephants who are Chip’s friends and neighbors. They like to do things together and are almost never apart. Amanda, voiced by Teryl Rothery, is Nico’s mother. She raises her two sons in Welcome Walk. Her husband Andy does not live with her; he travels the world helping people decorate their homes for his job, but they still love each other. Bodi is Nico’s baby brother. He is one of the few characters who knows Potato’s secret, and Potato sometimes plays with him when they are alone.
