Episodes
The series premiered on 14 September 2017 with eight gladiators who were stripped naked while their girlfriends dug for sacks of clothes to dress them. The first challenge required gladiators to deliver rocks and then carry their girlfriends by pulling a chariot in the fastest time; Tom won and Richard was eliminated. On 21 September 2017, Liam and Ellie joined the group. Gladiators competed to be the first to carry a sandbag to their side of the arena while the girls crushed grapes to make wine. The main challenge used pugil sticks, with gladiators fighting to be the last man standing; Tom won again and Kai was eliminated. On 28 September 2017, Callum and Rachel joined. Gladiators impressed Doctore in an intense workout, with Brandon and Glenn named standouts. The girls sculpted a body part in plaster, which their boyfriend had to match to them. The challenge involved head-to-head slingshot competitions; Tian won. Jordan and Liam were put up for banishment; Liam was voted off but spared by the Emperor, so no one was eliminated. On 5 October 2017, Jordan and Liam were imprisoned, and their girlfriends Jade and Ellie took their places in the first challenge, which involved racing across a pool to deliver two sandbags to a pedestal. The girls prepared rabbit for dinner. The main challenge had greased-up gladiators wrestling opponents out of the arena; Dino, Brandon, Tom, and Jordan won their matchups, and Tian was eliminated. On 12 October 2017, Chet and Helen joined and clashed with other contestants. Gladiators were shackled together in pairs, and the girls competed to entertain the Emperor, with Ellie and Summer winning. Nicola attacked Helen verbally, leading to a physical reaction from Helen, and Chet and Helen did not participate in the main challenge. The challenge required gladiators to cross a cesspit three times, delivering two sandbags and finally their girlfriends; Dino won, and Chet and Liam were eliminated. On 19 October 2017, blindfolded gladiators used pugil sticks to knock opponents out of the arena; Callum, Jordan, and Tom beat Brandon, Glenn, and Dino. Couples washed the Emperor's clothes with urine, and Dino and Cherelle were rewarded.
