The Dominion Brewery was a brewery in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, operating from 1878 until 1936. Founded by Robert T. Davies, it became notable for its ambition to distribute beer across Canada and for winning awards, including a prominent prize for its India pale ale, which led to the creation of White Label Ale.

The Dominion Brewery was founded by Robert T. Davies in 1877, opening in 1878 less than two city blocks from his brother Thomas' Don Brewery on Queen Street just west of Sumach Street. Davies had brewed ale and porter varieties but hired German experts to make lager. The brewery's name reflected its aim to be available across Canada, stretching from Ontario east to the Maritimes. It won awards in 1885 at a competition in New Orleans and continued entering products in competitions, with awards prominently displayed on bottle labels. Especially proud of its win for an India pale ale, the label was replaced with a replica of the award certificate and renamed White Label Ale. By 1888, the brewery shipped over one million gallons of beer annually.

The Dominion Brewery's significance lies in its early ambition for national distribution and its award-driven branding. The brewery was sold in 1891 to British interests for CA$1.2 million, with Davies remaining managing director until 1900. In 1926, it was sold to the Hamilton Brewing Association, which owned the Regal Brewery in Hamilton, becoming part of the acquisitions forming Canadian Brewing Corporation. That corporation merged in 1930 with the Brewing Company of Ontario (later Canadian Breweries), a conglomerate set up by E. P. Taylor. In 1936, Taylor moved production of Davies' beer to the Cosgrave Brewery, which was later acquired by O'Keefe Brewery in 1945. The brewery's west wing and south main wing still exist, converted to commercial space in 1981. The nearby Dominion Hotel, operated as an affiliated business, was undergoing major renovation as of February 2025 to become a boutique hotel.
