Licht is the leader of the elves in Black Clover. He wielded Sword Magic and was the original owner of the five-leaf grimoire that later chooses Asta.

Lore & Background
Licht advocated coexistence between elves and humans, befriended Lumiere and married Tetia. When the devil Zagred orchestrated the massacre of the elves, Licht transformed into a monster to resist being possessed, which forced Lumiere to kill him.
Reader's Guide
Centuries later Patry revives Licht's soul in an artificial body, though his consciousness stays dormant. After battling Asta and Yuno, Licht's full personality resurfaces during the fight against Zagred; he helps destroy the devil and then passes on with his people, while his vessel remains for Patry's use. His line survives in Elysia through his surviving child.
