The Absolute

The Absolute is the god worshipped by the goblin horde that threatens the druids and tiefling refugees of the Emerald Grove. It is revealed to be an Elder Brain, the ultimate form of the illithid race, controlled through Netherstones and a mysterious crown by a triumvirate of Chosen, Ketheric Thorm, Orin the Red and Enver Gortash, who seek to rule the Sword Coast by manipulating the infected. The protagonist eventually assembles the Netherstones to subdue the Elder Brain, which has anticipated every move and overpowers the party before the Emperor comes to the rescue.
