Neroon rose to prominence as the leader of the Minbari Warrior Caste, a position that placed him at odds with the Religious Caste led by Valen. While the public narrative held that Valen was the sole hero who defeated the Shadows centuries ago, Neroon began to suspect discrepancies in the official history. His investigation revealed the shocking truth: Valen was actually an alien human named John Sheridan, and the Minbari victory was a result of a combined effort between humans and Minbari, not just Minbari alone. This revelation shattered his worldview, leading him to ally with the Shadows in a desperate attempt to prove that the Warrior Caste's strength was superior to the Religious Caste's deception.

Neroon originates from the Minbari Warrior Caste, trained from birth in combat and discipline. He is defined by his rivalry with Delenn of the Religious Caste and his eventual discovery of the truth regarding John Sheridan's identity as Valen. His evolution spans from a proud, rigid traditionalist to a disillusioned leader who briefly allies with the Shadows to expose what he perceives as a lie. This alliance marks his lowest point, driven by a desire for vengeance against the Religious Caste rather than true loyalty to the Shadows. Ultimately, Neroon realizes the error of his ways when the Shadows betray him. In a final act of redemption, he sacrifices himself alongside Sheridan and Delenn during the Battle of the Line, destroying a Shadow vessel to save the station.
