Ceriani
Italian maker of motorcycle frames and innovative suspension systems.
Ceriani, also known by the acronym ARCES, was an Italian manufacturer of motorcycle frames and suspension components. Founded by Arturo Ceriani in 1951, the company gained recognition for the quality of its parts. The company developed light-alloy fork sliders and a telescopic hydraulic suspension initially for motocross, later adopted for street motorcycles. By 1972, Ceriani had sold 100,000 suspension units. The company declined in the late 1970s amid a European manufacturing crisis and closed its plant in 1980.
