Gameplay

Willy is equipped with a punch gun that can be launched at enemies or used to hook onto surfaces and swing. The weapon also allows him to grab and throw certain objects, and mastering its use is essential for success. The game contains five stages; the first four can be tackled in any order and are selected as channels on a TV monitor at the start. The fifth stage becomes available only after completing the other four. Levels include a carnival, a flight atop a moving plane, and a park. A shopping channel lets the player buy power-ups with cash collected during play. Available items include Bomb, which causes bombs to fly from Willy's glove; Twin Balls, releasing two projectile balls per punch; Hammer Punch, replacing the glove with a spiked metal ball; Jet Sneakers, allowing a slow descent when used with a jump; and Extra Life. A bonus channel offers minigames for additional cash and extra lives: Roulette, where Willy performs a spin attack on a roulette wheel; Pipe Toss, catching and tossing falling balls into moving pipes; and Basketball, using a super spin jump to toss Willy into moving hoops. A password feature tracks progress. After the credits, a secret stage becomes available. In this stage, Willy loses all money and power-ups, starts with three lives with no way to earn more, and faces far more difficult levels that require complete mastery of the punch gun. Health is not restored between levels in this secret stage.
