Chipper Jones won the National League MVP Award in 1999, not 2007. He is the only switch hitter in MLB history with a career batting average above .300 and more than 300 home runs.

In 1999, Jones posted one of the most complete seasons in Braves history, batting .319 with 45 home runs, 41 doubles, 126 walks, 110 RBI, 116 runs scored, and 25 stolen bases. He was selected as a starter for the MLB All-Star Game that year. His dominant performance against the New York Mets was a major factor in his MVP selection.
