Sarkaz Immortality Secret

Lore & Background

This immortality has shaped Sarkaz society into a complex web of dynasties and rivalries spanning millennia. Because they do not die of old age, leadership transitions are rare, leading to stagnation or violent upheaval when power shifts occur. Outsiders view them with suspicion, fearing that their endless lives make them unrelenting enemies who cannot be worn down by time. However, Sarkaz themselves often speak of this gift as a heavy burden, watching friends and civilizations crumble while they remain.

Reader's Guide

The Sarkaz Immortality Secret functions as a biological and Arts-based phenomenon rather than a simple tool. It allows members of the Sarkaz race to bypass normal aging processes, granting them lifespans spanning centuries or even millennia. This longevity is not absolute; they remain vulnerable to physical trauma, disease, and severe Originium infection. The mechanism involves manipulating internal life forces through specific Arts techniques passed down through generations.

Many Sarkaz view this gift as a curse, forcing them to witness the decay of civilizations while they remain unchanged. Outsiders often seek this knowledge hoping to conquer death, but it is deeply tied to Sarkaz physiology and cannot be easily replicated by other races. Wielding this power requires immense mental fortitude to resist the madness that comes with endless time. Ultimately, it serves as both a blessing of survival and a shackle binding them to their eternal conflicts across Terra.

• Sarkaz do not age visibly in the traditional sense, often appearing youthful regardless of actual years lived.
• Despite their longevity, they can be killed by conventional violence or severe Originium poisoning.
• Some factions believe the secret involves a pact with ancient entities, though this remains unproven.
