Originium Arts

Originium Arts, often called Arts, is the ability to manipulate matter and energy using power from Originium in the world of Arknights.^[1] It functions as the setting's primary magic system, described as a form of supernatural science.^[1] Most Terrans have an innate ability to use Arts, and many can perform at least basic applications.^[1] Individuals with advanced combat-effective proficiency are known as Casters, though many Operators outside the Caster class also use Arts.^[1]

Arts require Originium as a medium for casting, and the term originated in Victoria during the Crystal Age.^[2] A Caster's ability to use Arts depends on their Originium Arts Assimilation, a trait influenced by physiology, genetics, and race.^[2] Arts Assimilation is highly individualized and usually cannot be altered through study or training, and losing control can cause harm ranging from mild injury to extensive loss of life.^[2]
