The series is produced by Brown Bag Films in the United Kingdom. It was renewed for a second season on May 24, 2017. The show aired on Treehouse TV in Canada starting May 6, 2017. The final three episodes of the second season were released on Paramount+ on July 21, 2021, before the series was removed from the streaming service on January 1, 2024, along with Sunny Day. Three DVDs of the show were released by Nickelodeon and Paramount Home Entertainment: the first on January 30, 2018, the second on July 3, 2018, and the third on February 5, 2019. A book titled Nella's Unicorn Rescue was released on March 7, 2017.
