Dr. Scratchansniff and the Warners
A psychiatrist's nightmare and three siblings' playground of chaos.
Dr. Otto Scratchansniff is the Warner Bros. studio psychiatrist in Animaniacs, and the Warner siblings are his most troublesome charges. After the Warners escape, studio executive Thaddeus Plotz asks him to "de-zanitize" Yakko, Wakko and Dot, that is, to make them less zany and stop the chaos in the studio.

Lore & Background
Scratchansniff, who is of Austrian descent, often loses patience with the Warner kids and has outbursts of frustration; the first time he deals with them he pulls out his hair until he is bald. As the series goes on he grows fonder of them and takes more responsibility for them, at times acting as a father figure.
Reader's Guide
Rob Paulsen voices both Scratchansniff and Yakko. The doctor returns in the 2020 revival, where he explains that Hello Nurse, the studio nurse, has joined Doctors Without Borders.
