Venting
Into the ducts, out of sight.
Venting is the Impostors' way of moving unseen in Among Us: Impostors can enter the ventilation ducts, travel through them and kill Crewmates nearby.

Lore & Background
Being seen venting used to mark a player as an Impostor beyond reasonable doubt. Since the November 2021 update, Engineers, a Crewmate role, can also use vents, though only to a limited extent, while Impostors can stay in a vent as long as they like; Shapeshifters add further doubt.
Reader's Guide
In Hide and Seek, added in December 2022, the roles flip: the Impostor cannot vent, while Crewmates can hide in vents for a short time.
A July 7, 2021 update added the Clean Vent task, in which a Crewmate cleans a particular vent so that Impostors cannot use it; since the November 9 update it also keeps Engineers out.
