Characters
Bennu of the Golden Light, played by Judson Scott, is an alien with abilities such as physical levitation, telepathy, precognition, clairvoyance, astral projection, and telekinesis. His Phoenix Amulet, which draws power from the Sun, amplifies some of these powers. Bennu's home planet was originally called Aurica but was changed to Eldebran for broadcast. Yago, another being from Eldebran, serves as Bennu's evil primary opponent and is connected to the Moon, while Bennu is tied to the Sun. The series bible compares Yago to Lucifer and Dracula; he wears a bracelet called "The Bells of Thon" that can deafen, and carries a "Black Moonball" instrument that alters his appearance or teleports him. Mira, played by Sheila Frazier, is another Eldebran being placed on Earth 40,000 years ago as Bennu's companion, whom he searches for. Justin Preminger, played by Richard Lynch, is a recurring human antagonist, a former P.O.W. in Vietnam turned government agent obsessed with capturing Bennu, whom he considers a New Age con man. Dr. Ward Frazier, played by E. G. Marshall, is a scientist sympathetic to Bennu.
