Loudest Love
Japanese EP based on the "Loud Love" U.K. single.
Loudest Love, a 1990 EP by the American rock band Soundgarden, came out in Japan that September on A&M Records. Its songs come from the "Loud Love" U.K. vinyl single, plus "Hands All Over," "Heretic," and "Come Together." Music critic Greg Prato noted that while dedicated fans will treasure this collection, newcomers should begin with the 1997 best-of album A-Sides or any official studio release. Although bassist Jason Everman appears on the cover, he only plays on one track—the sole song he ever recorded with the band. The rest of the bass parts were handled by Hiro Yamamoto, who had already left Soundgarden and been replaced by Everman by the time this EP came out.

Background
The EP's seven tracks pull from different sources. Tracks 1–3 are taken directly from the album Louder Than Love and are identical to their album counterparts. Track 7 is a remix of the album version of the song by Steve Fisk, previously available on the "Loud Love" single. Tracks 4 and 6 are b-sides from the "Hands All Over" and "Loud Love" singles, respectively. Track 5, also previously available on the "Hands All Over" single, is a cover of the classic Beatles tune, and is the only Soundgarden song to feature bassist, and former Nirvana guitarist, Jason Everman.
