Growing up, he often felt "in the middle" and strives to fit in. Cristina Sanz is a romantic who has been in a relationship with her husband, Angel Callahan, for six years. Her family is from Spain, and she enjoys learning Spanish and cooking traditional Spanish meals, hoping to continue building an independent life with Angel. Megan Bomgaars created a video titled "Don't Limit Me" and speaks at events nationwide promoting inclusion. She runs a tie dye clothing company called "Megology," and her mother, Kris, is known as her "Dream Maker." Elena Ashmore was born in Japan to a Japanese mother, Hiromi, and an Australian father, Stephen. She practices traditional Japanese Taiko drumming and cooking, and has struggled with accepting herself and her disability, which prompts other cast members to reflect on their own self-images and ideas of adulthood with Down syndrome.
