Premise
The series follows real-life matchmaker Patti Novak as she arranges dates for clients seeking love in Buffalo, New York. Each episode begins with Novak interviewing two new clients, questioning them about their past romantic difficulties. She then pairs each new client with one of her pre-existing clients. After the dates, Novak calls each person to her office for a follow-up. If a date went well, she informs the client that the other person wants to meet again. If the date went poorly, Novak typically scolds the client and advises on improvements. A failed first date leads to a second setup; if the client performs poorly again without improvement, they are usually dropped as a client.
