Synopsis
After centuries of intergalactic war, peace has been established across the universe through the Cosmocratic League, which unites over 200 planets. Interplanetary transport is vital to the League's stability, with companies like the ruthless Krill-Fireng Consortium dominating the industry. A few independent pilots, known as Tracers, rebel against corporate control and deliver cargo at record speeds, facing many dangers. The most famous of these Tracers is Malo Korrigan and his crew aboard the ship Starduke.
Characters
Malo Korrigan, voiced by Alain Zouvi in French and Terrence Scammell in English, is a taciturn but highly skilled pilot who was once among the best in the Consortium's fleet. After opposing his employer's methods, he was imprisoned and later joined the Tracers upon release. He is an adventurer and smuggler who sells his services to the highest bidder, undertaking perilous missions on the borders of the League, yet he cannot resist helping the weak and often ends up owing more than he started.
Jonas Pequod, voiced by André Montmorency in French and Rick Jones in English, is a grumpy yet generous veteran space navigator and rock'n'roll fan. A do-it-yourself genius, he repairs almost anything with his flexible artificial hand and serves as the Starduke's engineer, though his cooking is far from successful. Cyana Baahra, voiced by Manon Arsenault in French and Eleanor Noble in English, is an alien princess and graduate of the Federal Academy of Space Navigation who chose to become a Tracer pilot.
Hired by Malo, she doubts her worth but is an expert fighter and highly intelligent, taking risks to please her friends and fight injustices. Yago Carcharias, voiced by Luis de Cespedes in both French and English, is the Consortium's chief henchman, a cruel and relentless predator without scruples. Intelligent and dangerous, he cannot accept defeat by the Tracers, especially Malo Korrigan, and is only restrained by the need to save face with federal authorities.
