Characters
Gofrette is a curious cat who looks and acts like a person. He lives in a place called Zanimo, which is in Europe, and he fills every day with adventure thanks to his big imagination, his huge collection of hobby gear, and his can-do attitude. He shares a house with Red, a refrigerator that can talk and that Gofrette understands; with his stuffed toy, Long Ears; and with tiny, busy animals he calls Gnugnuts. His uncle Garbanzo is an acrobat who runs and performs in the El Teatro Zanimo circus. Gofrette also has a grandmother named Granny Smith, after a type of apple from Australia, who only appears in photos and is talked about. Sonja Ball provides his voice. His favorite thing to shout is "Zowie!" and he sometimes says "Zowie zow zow!"
Fudge is a dog who looks like a person, with big floppy ears. He can be hesitant about joining in activities he finds scary or awkward, but he usually ends up being a good sport. He is picky about his ears, which sometimes makes him shy away from things. He lives in and owns a van called the Zanimo Wagon. He and Gofrette have been friends since they were a puppy and a kitten. His catchphrase is "Wowie Zowie Gofrette." He has an older brother named Moocher, who works as a mechanic and an artist. Mark Camacho voices him. In books, he is called Blue.
Ellie Coptor is a pink bird with a propeller on her head that spins based on how she feels. She runs a hair salon in her treehouse and enjoys fashion and makeovers. She is best friends with Gofrette and Fudge, bringing fun, creativity, and a sometimes nervous but always strong spirit to their trio. Her favorite food is worms, which disgusts Fudge. Lucinda Davis voices her. She has an aunt named Edna who wrote a book called "Trapeze is For the Birds."
