Bad Dog (TV series)
A dog who freezes when called bad.
Last updated
Bad Dog is an animated television series produced by CinéGroupe and Saban Entertainment, first airing on Teletoon on March 1, 1999. The show centers on the Potanski family and their dog Berkeley, who freezes and feigns death whenever told he is a bad dog until someone calls him a good dog. It was inspired by the After Dark screensaver 'Bad Dog' and was paired with the series Monster Farm.
Characters
Berkeley, also called Barky, is the Potanski family's dog who compulsively obeys every order he hears and passes out at the phrase 'Bad Dog' until he hears 'Good Dog'. Vic Potanski, the father, is an inventor whose business 'Potanski's Top of the Line' produces inventions that backfire. Madeline Potanski, the mother, is a psychiatrist who treats patients in her home office using hypnosis and puppets. The Potanski children are Little Vic, who adores Berkeley; Penelope, who values her beauty and enjoys theatre; and Trevor, a genius prone to panic, allergies, and phobias who wears glasses.
Grandfather Potanski, a former astronaut, watches space programs and often confuses names. Mrs. Simpkins, a patient of Madeline, has a phobia of dogs. Woods commands a spacecat army that plots to free cats from humans.
