Valorant Launch

Hiko's signing, the First Strike title and the road to VCT Americas.

100 Thieves entered competitive Valorant on June 4, 2020, by signing Spencer 'Hiko' Martin, and finalised a roster within three weeks. That team was short-lived: on August 14, 2020, everyone but Hiko was released, and two months later the roster was rebuilt with Peter 'Asuna' Mazuryk and Quan 'dicey' Tran from Immortals.

Lore & Background

The new line-up won the very first Valorant First Strike tournament, beating TSM in the grand final. The 2021 season ended with a loss to Cloud9 in the NA Last Chance Qualifier, and on February 28, 2021, dicey was benched for the CS:GO veteran Ethan 'Ethan' Arnold; after two group-stage losses in 2022 Challengers Stage 1 the team loaned Sean 'bang' Bezerra from TSM and Noah 'jcStani' Smith from Kansas City Pioneers. Hiko retired from competition on April 12 and stayed on as a content creator.

In September 2022, 100 Thieves was chosen as one of the thirty partner teams for Riot's 2023 season. In 2024 it swept its Stage 1 playoff run, beating G2 Esports 3–0 in the final, and in 2026 it won its first international Valorant title by defeating NRG 3–1 at the Esports World Cup.
