Jaime Reyes is the third Blue Beetle, a DC Comics superhero created by Keith Giffen, John Rogers and Cully Hamner who first appeared in Infinite Crisis #3 (February 2006). A Mexican-American teenager from El Paso, he is bonded to an ancient scarab embedded in his spine, technology made by the alien Reach.

In Young Justice, Jaime is voiced by Eric Lopez. He is a teenager from El Paso, Texas, who bonds with a Reach scarab after the death of its previous owner, Ted Kord, whom Sportsmaster and Deathstroke killed while trying to claim it. The scarab is bonded to his spine and can generate armor and weapons; Jaime often ignores its advice, which tends toward violent solutions. Zatanna frees him and Green Beetle from the Reach's control.
