Triple H
A 14-time world champion who co-founded D-Generation X, created NXT, and now serves as WWE's chief content officer.
Paul Michael Levesque (born July 27, 1969), known by the ring name Triple H, is an American business executive, professional wrestling promoter, and retired wrestler. Signed to WWE as chief content officer, head of creative, and executive producer, he began his career in 1992 as Terra Ryzing before gaining mainstream exposure in WCW in 1994 as Jean-Paul Levesque. He joined the WWF in 1995 as Hunter Hearst Helmsley, later shortened to Triple H, rising to fame during the Attitude Era as a member of The Kliq and co-founder of D-Generation X. A 14-time world champion (nine WWF/WWE Championships, five World Heavyweight Championships), he is a two-time Royal Rumble winner (2002, 2016), the seventh Triple Crown winner, and second Grand Slam winner.
He headlined WrestleMania seven times (16, 18, 20, 21, 22, 25, and 32). Levesque retired from in-ring performance in 2022 due to health concerns but remains active as an executive and on-screen presence. Through his marriage to Stephanie McMahon, he is part of the McMahon family, which held a controlling interest in WWE until its sale to Endeavor in 2023. He created NXT, elevated female wrestlers, and spearheaded international expansion with concepts like NXT UK.
Inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of D-Generation X in 2019 and for his individual career in 2025, he also acted in Blade: Trinity (2004) and The Chaperone (2011).

Lore & Background
During the Attitude Era, Levesque shed his 'Connecticut Blueblood' persona to become a central figure in the rebellious stable D-Generation X. Alongside Shawn Michaels, Chyna, and Rick Rude, he popularized catchphrases like 'Suck It' and the crotch chop while deriding Bret Hart and Canada. His ring name shortened to Triple H during this period, though he remained Hunter Hearst Helmsley in storylines for years. A pivotal moment occurred when he won the 1997 King of the Ring by defeating Mankind in the finals.
Later, he feuded with Owen Hart over the European Championship, winning it by 'defeating' Michaels after Michaels laid down for him on the December 22 episode of Raw is War. He lost the title to Hart when Goldust competed against Hart in drag as Triple H on January 22. The Kliq, a backstage group including Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash, Sean Waltman, and Scott Hall, influenced creative decisions until the 'Curtain Call' incident at Madison Square Garden altered his scheduled King of the Ring victory in favor of Stone Cold Steve Austin.
