Lynch's career trajectory shifted dramatically in 2018 when she transitioned from a fan favorite to an aggressive character. At SummerSlam, she attacked Charlotte Flair, presenting herself as an unfairly treated underdog and dubbing herself 'The Man,' which sparked a massive surge in popularity. This persona carried her through historic milestones in 2019. This event marked the first time a women's match served as the main event of WrestleMania. She stands as one of only five women to have headlined WWE's marquee event, solidifying her place in history after previously becoming the inaugural SmackDown Women's Champion at Backlash 2016.
