Cauldron is a shadowy, secretive group in Worm that has found a way to give people powers artificially. The process carries a significant risk of deformation or mutilation, and the strength and safety of the powers vary widely.
Lore & Background
People whose Cauldron powers leave them with visible or grotesque mutations are called Case-53s or monster capes. Contessa is revealed as Cauldron's final agent and architect, and the conspiracy is suggested to be behind many of the story's earlier events, all aimed at fighting Scion.
