Nurgle
Grandfather Nurgle: the jovial Plague God who sees every corpse as a nursery.
Nurgle, called the Plague Lord, Grandfather Nurgle, the Fly Lord and the Lord of Decay, is the Chaos God of disease, decay, despair, destruction, death and rebirth; of all mortal feelings it is despair that feeds him most. His creed is that everything solid eventually rots, so he wants contagion to bloom across the Mortal Realms and drown his enemies' strongholds in filth. Yet he is not spiteful: a perversely paternal, joyful god, generous with his foul gifts and proud of his worshippers, he delights in the teeming life that rot brings, the maggots in a corpse and the larvae in a stagnant lake. His mortal and daemonic followers are the Maggotkin of Nurgle, and in Ghyran his long war with Alarielle is called the War of Life.
