Lore & Background
The climax involves a three-way conflict at the Gai Institution between Pollon's group, the Special Forces Group, and Holy Office 513. Despite Pollon's efforts, Asuma Soga's mother Miori is killed, causing Asuma to manifest godlike powers and send an asteroid toward Earth, believing the world will end anyway from the Year 2038 Problem. Pollon and his friends destroy the asteroid using remnants of SA4D, but the Year 2038 Problem remains. Momo decides to force a world line collapse by connecting to the Vatican's Earth Simulator, Necro Pilgrimage, to reset their world layer. Pollon refuses to accept Momo's sacrifice, as she is an artificial life form that will be erased completely by the reset.
Reader's Guide
Anonymous;Code is significant as the sixth mainline entry in the Science Adventure series, continuing the franchise's tradition of blending science fiction with real-world technological and philosophical themes. Its inclusion of a fully functional Conway's Game of Life within the game menu is a notable interactive feature. The narrative explores concepts such as simulation theory, Earth Simulators, and the consequences of date overflow errors, specifically the Year 2036 and Year 2038 Problems. The game's delayed release and subsequent western localization by Spike Chunsoft expanded its audience. Its legacy lies in its complex plot involving time manipulation, hacker culture, and a doomsday prophecy, contributing to the ongoing Science Adventure universe.
