Lore & Background
The album was the first posthumous album released by Tupac's mother, Afeni Shakur, through her label Amaru Entertainment without the involvement of Suge Knight or Death Row Records. It was produced by Eminem and consists of remixes of previously unreleased music recorded by Tupac before his death in 1996. Eminem wrote a letter to Afeni Shakur asking to produce the album, and she agreed. All songs were recorded prior to Tupac's involvement in the East Coast–West Coast hip-hop rivalry. The album features two singles: 'Thugs Get Lonely Too' and 'Ghetto Gospel'.
