Reader's Guide
In 2016 Mopreme Shakur, Macadoshis and Big Syke told VladTV that 2Pac had to push hard to get Interscope to sign the group, and that heavy criticism of gangsta rap at the time led to censorship, so the released album differed from the original. Syke added that Thug Life was meant as a movement and a compilation with more rappers, not a group.
