Reader's Guide
"To Live & Die in L.A." and "Hail Mary" followed as singles; neither reached the Billboard Hot 100, though all of the album's singles made the UK top twenty. The record had been scheduled for March 1997 and was brought forward four months after Shakur's death. Critics praised the emotion of his performance, the production, the cover art and the album's themes.
