Eric Northman

Viking-born vampire who owns Fangtasia in Shreveport.

Eric Northman is a vampire from Charlaine Harris's Southern Vampire Mysteries, introduced in Dead Until Dark and present in every later novel; in True Blood he is played by Alexander Skarsgard. Once a Viking warrior, he owns the Shreveport vampire bar Fangtasia and holds authority in the vampire hierarchy as Sheriff of Area 5. His backstory differs in places between the novels and the HBO series.
