10,000 Days Cover Art
The 10,000 Days package with built-in stereoscopic lenses.
The artwork for Tool's 2006 album 10,000 Days was made with the help of the painter Alex Grey. Adam Jones, who is behind most of the band's artwork concepts and is a lifelong fan of stereoscopic photography, designed a package with a pair of stereoscopic lenses for viewing its 3-D artwork and photos.
Lore & Background
The package won Best Recording Package at the 49th Grammy Awards; Ænima had been nominated in the same category but lost. Grey's 10,000 Days artwork also served as the backdrop of the band's 2006 light show.
