The air grew thick and hot, tasting of sulfur and ancient ash. Every step toward the crater felt like wading through a fever dream, the ground trembling beneath feet clad in tattered rags. Shadows danced wildly against the jagged rock walls as the roar of molten lava echoed from below, a sound that seemed to whisper promises of power and demands for surrender. The Ring grew heavy, burning with an invisible heat that sought to drag its bearer into the churning red depths, yet a small hobbit pressed on, driven by a will far stronger than the mountain's fiery heart.
