Their society was deeply intertwined with the Zoras and the Royal Family, serving as the architects of Hyrule's greatest fortresses and the keepers of its most sacred relics. However, their power eventually drew the ire of dark forces, leading to a catastrophic war that nearly wiped them out. Following this tragedy, the tribe went into hiding, dispersing across the land and adopting new identities to survive. Despite their exile, they never abandoned their duty; when the darkness returns in the form of Calamities or curses, fragments of the Sheikah re-emerge to guide the chosen Hero, passing down their wisdom through masks, stones, and ancient shrines.
