Diane Keaton
The actress who played Kay Adams across the Godfather trilogy.
Diane Keaton (1946-2025) was an American actress whose career spanned more than five decades. Her breakthrough came as Kay Adams, Michael Corleone's girlfriend and later wife, opposite Al Pacino in Francis Ford Coppola's The Godfather (1972); Coppola had noticed her in her screen debut, Lovers and Other Strangers, and cast her for the reputation for eccentricity he wanted her to bring to the role. She returned as Kay in The Godfather Part III (1990). Her honours include an Academy Award, a BAFTA Award and two Golden Globe Awards, and she appeared in eight films by Woody Allen.
